1. Public Inquiries really are the last manipulative trick of the system. Their only meaningful purpose appears
to be to defuse public outrage and to avoid meaningful change.
2. Inquiries:
(i). acknowledge wrongdoing of which everyone is aware,
(ii). produce some new facts which endow the process with credibility but achieve very little else,
(iii). remonstrate with the authorities - imagine giving someone a stern telling-off, in order to pacify a
child who is aggrieved by that person's conduct,
(iv). finally provide some redress (compensation, etc.), when a cover-up can no longer be continued and
(v). negotiate a path around the problem without seriously attempting to solve it.
3. Inquiries have been said to establish definitive historical truth. Can we really be sure that is what they
provide, finally?
4. You may wish to consider:
(i). One month after publication of its report by the Inquiry into the case of Mr Paterson, in 2021, I wrote to
Bishop James, who chaired that Inquiry.
(a). He ignored clear evidence of serious criminal and medical misconduct. He insulted me and asked me not to
communicate with him again.
(b). My detention has continued, on the strength of those maliciously false medical opinions.
(c). Of what use is an Inquiry if, immediately after, even the Chairman of an inquiry would countenance similar
wrongs and would lend his quiescence to similar abuses?
(ii). Reports on the crush at Hillsborough were published in 1989, 1990, 2012 and 2025 and the Inquiry
into the abuse of young girls in Rotherham was published in 2014.
(a). In 2014, South Yorkshire Police covered up the hacking of my computer
by claiming I was paranoid, though they knew that belief was supported by the security logs of the Machine, which
showed it had been hacked into. And I offered them the Machine as evidence.
(b). Between 2015 and today, South Yorkshire Police and its Chief Constables, Police and Crime Commissioner
and Mayor, and the Government (including Home Secretaries and every member of parliament) certainly since 2024, have
ignored serious misconduct by South Yorkshire Police in my case.
(i). Seven years after publication of the report of the inquiry into the fire at Grenfell Tower, buildings are
still covered in dangerous cladding, all around the country.
