1. Plainly, there would be an advantage to gain from acting in my case, yet even opportunistic politicians
steer clear of it. Consider all the authorities who have been involved in my case.
2. If Ms Badenoch and others cannot defend their refusal to act, it should be obvious they avoided my case out
of fear.
(i). Should that be the case, Ms Badenoch's statement is particularly cynical: she rails against China because
it is easy and, since she actually makes no decisions and is not accountable for the economy, etc. it costs her
nothing and makes her look strong. All the while, she adopts a "supine and short-termist approach" to urgent
dangers at home because she lacks "backbone".
