Sir Keir Starmer on the Case of Ms Sarah Everard

1. This is a question by Sir Keir Starmer to the Prime Minister. My case cannot begin to be compared to that of Ms Everard but there are two observations to make:
(i). He referred to the case in the House of Commons, though she was not his constituent, and asked that serious action be taken to prevent such a thing happening in future.
(a). He was right to do so. But it does make his claim that he could not act on matters I reported to him less credible.
(ii). Ms Everard's MP did not, as far as I am aware, remonstrate with Sir Keir for this intervention: it would have been very strange had s/he done so.
(a). How plausible are the claims by opposition leaders, shadow secretaries of state and other MPs that they cannot act on these matters because I am not their constituent?
