Warning against Artificial Intelligence
2. The Fog — truth is obscured, you can't tell what’s real.
3. The Puppetmaster — the manipulator hidden in plain sight, pulling strings through subtle cues.
Briefly:
- I understand the widespread use of Artificial Intelligence.
- I have written to the Chief Executives of AI firms, inviting them to have my views fact and logic-checked.
- They refused to engage.
- Artificial Intelligence is useful technology, but it can easily be a tool for manipulation.
- I ask people to forbear reaching a conclusion on these matters (for or against my views) and, instead, to focus on having the Prime Minister immediately produce a valid diagnosis of me.
- Should the Prime Minister fail to produce such a diagnosis, I should be pleased to address reasonable questions regarding my views.
1. I do not question the usefulness of Artificial Intelligence: I have used it for some tasks, in developing
this website - mainly coding. I also used it to create the image on this page; it can be helpful.
2. I have observed how, lately, the trustworthiness of Artificial Intelligence has appeared to concern many
important people. I must warn you against the grave danger of manipulation by AI.
3. Artificial Intelligence could be used deliberately to manipulate people (it is merely a question of
adjusting the parameters or settings).
4. I ask you not to trust arguments AI makes both against and for me and the statements made here.
(i). I wrote, to Messrs: Altman (OpenAI), Amodei (Anthropic), Brin and Page (Google and Alphabet), asking
them to have their AI evaluate and fact-check my views - I sent them documents making the assertions made here, and
a lot more besides, and evidence supporting those assertions.
(a). I undertook to have the results, whatever they were, checked by universities including Oxford,
Cambridge, Harvard, etc.
(b). I had previously written to those universities (more than one hundred universities), asking them to
check these facts and the reasoning behind the assertions I have advanced. I sent them documents setting out my
views, and some of the evidence on which those views are based.
(ii). I explained to the Universities and to the Heads of those AI firms that I intended publically to make
these statement and that I would not make them, were they shown to be unsound. I informed them I would not wish to
publish such statements, were they not correct. They refused to engage.
(iii). I made the same offer to Messrs: Musk (X, Grock, etc.), Nadella (Microsoft), and Bezos (Amazon, the
Washington Post, and certain AI ventures).
5. Had they accepted my offer, we would, today, say that those Universities and AI firms consider my
assertions to be reasonable and or true. Or I would not have published this website (had they shown my views to be
mistaken).
(i). And so, I do not ask that you not allow Artificial Intelligence AI to persuade you I am wrong (no matter
how compelling a case it might try to make), without giving me the opportunity to respond. I even go as far as to
ask you to try not to reach that conclusion before we put all the facts before everyone and discuss them openly,
which we shall do should the Prime Minister fail to produce a valid diagnosis of me.
6. Please consider the names in the ticker at the foot of each page: those are only some of the people and
organisations to whom I have written. Should the Prime Minister fail to produce a valid diagnosis, we should
interview most of them and ask them to explain their responses (or lack thereof) to these matters.
(i). None of those people or organisations has been able to rebut the assertions made here. Almost all of
them have refused to deny the validity of these assertions, when I have asked them openly to do so.
7. If the Prime Minister is unable to produce a valid diagnosis
that has been the basis for my diagnosis, you would have proof of how untrustworthy the state is, even in the EU and
in North America: for they too have been involved in this.
(i). Consider how they have persuaded so many people and organisations in all these countries do their
bidding,
(ii). You might start to realise that the Artificial Intelligence in which you place such confidence could be
your very own state-assigned, personal propagandist.
8. Naturally, you will wonder whether I have put my views to Artificial Intelligence: I have. It almost
invariably agrees with me. On rare occasions, it has opposed me with astonishing ferocity and staggering
irrationality.
We encourage you to approach the people and organisations mentioned on this website and to request their response. We suggest you follow our guidance in doing so.
