The Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman
1. The Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman
(PHSO) handles complaints that have not been resolved by the NHS in England and by UK government departments.
2. In 2019, I reported and provided proof to the PHSO of misconduct against me, including:
(i). unlawful detention in an NHS mental hospital, on the basis of false and invalid diagnoses,
(ii). assault,
(iii). battery and
(iv). harassment
3. The PHSO asked me what I wished it to do about the complaints. I said I would leave that to its
discretion.
(i). The PHSO said he could not investigate the Complaints, unless I stated, specifically, what I would like
him to do, but I must ask him to do something it is in his power to do.
(a). I asked what actions he had the authority to take, he refused to say. It was impossible for me to
proceed
4. I wrote to Sir Robert Behrens (the Ombudsman). I informed him of the situation and observed these
conditions prevented the discovery and correction of serious problems in public services essential to us all.
He returned no response and nothing was done.
5. Hospitals and government departments have always been quick to encourage me to complain to the PHSO, even
when they unquestionably are wrong. The strange conduct of the PHSO would appear to prove such recommendations not
to be so rash after all.
We encourage you to approach the people and organisations mentioned on this website and to request their response. We suggest you follow our guidance in doing so.
