1. I wrote to each of the Chief Constables of South Yorkshire, since 2015, reporting the offences against me
and presenting clear evidence to support those reports. No action was taken and the reports were largely ignored.
2. In 2024, I wrote to the Chief Constable, reminding her that her police force continued to tread the path
which, under her predecessors, led it to the problems of Hillsborough and the Rotherham abuse cases: they
obstinately ignored serious offences, including assault, grievous bodily harm and battery. In some instances, CCTV
footage supported such reports as I made.
3. The Chief Constable refused to act but could not explain why. The Chief Constable is accountable to the
Mayor of South Yorkshire. I reported the conduct of the police force and its Chief Constable to him. I requested he
have her produce a cogent explanation for her refusal to act on those matters.
(i). The Mayor's office insisted the refusal of South Yorkshire Police to investigate serious offences
committed against a vulnerable person (person under section) did not concern it.
(a). Upon questioning, they refused to defend that position. I informed them that, if they continued to
refuse to answer my questions, I should visit the Mayor's office and remain there until someone answered those
questions.
(ii). The Hospital told me the police had instructed it to stop me from visiting the Mayor's office: if I did
so, they would arrest me.
(a). The Hospital admitted it did not think I would be violent, if I visited the Mayor's office. They
nevertheless withdrew my leave.
(b). I observed neither they nor the police had the right to prevent me from visiting a public building and
there carrying out a legitimate function: to try peacefully to hold an elected official to account.
(b). This could not be grounds, I observed, to threaten a person with arrest and even to deny him freedom of
movement. These arguments produced no effect on the Hospital.
4. For more than a year afterwards, the Hospital refused to reinstate leave. I undertook not to visit the
offices of the mayor, still, they would not restore leave.
5. In February, 2026 (a year after they had cancelled my leave), the Hospital unaccountably became very keen
to have me take leave. In fact, they positively tried to compel me to take leave.
It was a trap; they intended to have me arrested on a pretext, while I was on leave. I refused to take the bait.
6. I do not think the police intends to arrest me on the grounds I have visited a place they would claim I
am not permitted to visit; I am certain they intend to avail themselves of some fictitious but serious charge to
achieve my imprisonment for many years.
