Mr Lammy on Accountability

Briefly:

As Shadow Secretary of State for Justice, Foreign Secretary, Secretary of State for Justice, Lord Chancellor and Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Lammy:

  1. refused to oppose and to hold the Government to account - while in opposition,
  2. refused to uphold the law and to defend democracy and our way of life,
  3. ignored attempts to kill a person, unlawfully detained and for whom he was directly responsible and could have set free, even while those attempts to murder were in progress.
All the while, he publically criticised other countries for doing the same.

1. When Mr Lammy was Shadow Secretary of State for Justice, I reported to and provided him with proof: I was unlawfully detained, the diagnoses and opinions I am dangerous being false and indefensible, the judiciary had made dozens of unlawful decisions in cases involving me, the Crown Court availed itself of a pretext to not produce a transcript of my trial and Secretaries of State had, since 2017, unaccountably refused to act on similar reports.
(i). In short, I reported all the matters described on this website to Mr Lammy.
2. Mr Lammy replied he could not act on those reports because a strict rule of the House of Commons forbids him to act in matters regarding the constituents of others.
(i). I pointed out he was Shadow Secretary of State for the entire country and, were that true, could not carry out his duties responsibly to oppose and to hold the Government and the Secretary of State and the Ministry to account.
(ii). I asked if he meant each constituency has its own shadow secretary of state for justice and, if so, to direct me to the Shadow Secretary of State for Justice for my constituency.
(iii). I pointed out the convention or custom regarding the constituents of others cannot be enforced and it does not apply to shadow secretaries of state, in circumstances such as that in which I approached him. He could, in any case, approach the local MP, who was also a Labour Party MP. It was unlikely she would prevent him from acting on those matters as Shadow Secretary of State. He did not respond.
3. I reported to Mr Lammy that I had developed High Blood Pressure, as a result of the Campaign against me: my continued detention and mistreatment could result in my death. Later, I informed him of the attempts on my life. I explained it was similar to the way Russia killed Mr Navalny, as Ms Callamard had warned, a few years before Mr Navalny's death. He did not act.
(i). When Mr Navalny died, in 2024, the Government of the United Kingdom levied sanctions against Russia for his death. Mr Lammy stated (see video, above):
"I'd like to see Putin in front of [a] special tribunal, held to account for all of his crimes, not just in Ukraine, but as we are seeing just in the last 48 hours in Russia [Mr Navalny's death in detention] as well."
4. When Mr Lammy became Foreign Secretary, I returned my case to his attention. I asked him if he was comfortable preaching values and human rights to other countries while he ignored the abuses being perpetrated against me. He did not respond.
5. On 05 September, 2025, Mr Lammy became Secretary of State for Justice and, therefore, directly responsible for my detention: he could end my detention at any moment and my detention cannot be ended or restrictions eased without his permission.
(i). I again returned my case to his attention. I reminded him he had previously said he could not act because I was not his constituent; he was now directly responsible for my detention. I asked him to produce a valid diagnosis. He ignored my letters.
(a). I telephoned his office and left voicemail messages requesting they ensure he saw my communications to him. I received no response.
6. When the General Election of 2024 was announced, I reminded Mr Lammy of the matters treated on this website and explained that, should the public not be informed of them during the Campaign, the Elections would probably not be democratic. As far as I am aware, Mr Lammy did not mention these matters during that Campaign.
7. Mr Lammy appears to be concerned about Human Rights and democracy in Russia but not in the United Kingdom. Does he seek a better life for the Russians than for us and for his children - I assume they too depend on these structures?
(i). As I observed to Mr Lammy:
(a). Messrs Navalny, Kara-Murza and others should have been permitted to practice politics safely. But they knew why they were persecuted and detained. They knew what would probably happen to them, if they became involved in politics. Of course, this does not excuse what happened to them.
(b). I, on the other hand, am an inoffensive, private individual who was quietly going about his life when, it seems, all the resources of the state were levied against me.
(ii). While Mr Navalny and others were detained in breach of freedom of speech and the right to engage in politics, I am detained in breach of freedom of thought: I may not believe what the facts force me to believe, simply because the authorities tell me not to.
(iii). The point must be: In Russia, today, a man may be detained, persecuted and killed by being denied proper medical treatment, because he becomes involved in politics. In the United Kingdom, today, you can't tell what might land you in trouble: you may be detained, persecuted and attempts made to kill you by denying you proper medical treatment, for no readily apparent reason.
8. Mr Lammy met Mrs Navalny, he will not extend me even the courtesy of a response.
